The Pirates Breakfast

C G C C G On the pirates face was a pirates beard and in the pirates beard was a crumb C The crumb was from the pirates breakfast that was cooked by his dear old mum G Now the pirates mum she loved her son, she made sure every day C that he put on a clean pair of pirate pants before he sailed away G Now he sailed away on a trip one day with his best friend pirate pete C now Pete was a perfect pirate, from his hat to his pirate feet F C Why can't you be more like Pete? F G The pirates mum would cry F C He's got a lovely hat and a beard and that G C And a patch on his pirates eye F C But I don't want to be more like Pete F G Said the pirate can't you see? F C Because I like my hat and my beard and that G C and a patch just wouldn't suit me C G C C G SO the crashed though the waves for most of the day, having lots of pirate fun C They forgot what the pirates mum had said that lunch was at half past one G So when he returned late that night, you should have seen the face his mum gave him C As she stood there holding a burnt fish pie and a rather large rolling pin G So she sent him to bed without being fed and his pirates tummy did rumble C As he dreamt of sailing the seven seas and bowls of apple crumble F C Why can't you be more like Pete? F G In the morning his mum said F C As she cooked him his pirates breakfast G C of sausages and seagulls eggs F C But I don't want to be more like pete!
