D Tom Clancy here was a bit of a lout C Said he’d treat us all to a pint of stout D So as quick as we could we all set out A7 D For a public house in Rothsea-o. C We were all too drunk to even creep. D We found a place that was really cheap. A7 D In a boarding house in Rothsea-o. D C G D We all lay down to take our ease C D When somebody happened for to sneeze D C G D And he wakened half a million fleas A7 D In a single room in Rothsea-o. D There were several different kinds of pests C They run and they jumped inside our vests D They got in our hair and they built their nests And they cried’ “Hurrah, for Rothsea-o.” C G D Says I, “I think we’ll head for home.” C D And we swore we never more would roam C G D And we’re scratching still as we sing this poem A7 D Of the night we spent in Rothsea-o.
