C C Am They say there's a bridge up there Dm C G Up there in the mist C Am Some will deny it's there Dm C G Others will tell you it don't even exist F C G Am It's not made of iron or steel nor stone Dm C G Yet it spans the rising waters F G Am We are but bags of blood and bone Dm C G If we carry the weight of our sons and our daughters F C G Am And now that feels are rather drowned Dm C G And we climb up to the ridge F G Am Some will seek the higher ground Dm G C Some of us the bridge C Am G If all is bеhind us now Dm C G Beneath us swollen rivеr C G Am The bridge we will find somehow Dm C G Only then we would be delivered F C G Am Though some will claim to be inclined Dm C G It's a figment or a ghost F G Am But the bridge is deep inside the mind Dm C G Invisible to most F C G Am And now the city's all but drowned Dm C G And here upon the ridge F G Am Some will seek the higher ground Dm G C Some of us the bridge F G Am We'll open the gates that we may follow Dm C G Open the bridge to all of us F G Am Open the floodgate to the river Dm C G C Open the bridge that we may cross
