The Well

F#m F#m I could not work F#m So I threw a bottle into the woods F#m And then I felt bad F#m For the doe paw F#m B And the rabbit paw B So I went looking for the pieces B Of the bottle that I threw B F#m Because I couldn't work F#m I went deep B Further than i could throw B F#m And i came upon an old abandoned well B All boarded over B F#m With a drip hanging from the bucket still F#m Well I watched that drip but it would not drop F#m B I watched that drip but it would not drop B I knew what I had to do B F#m Had to pull those boards off the well F#m When I got the boards off F#m B I stared into the black black black B And you know I had to yell B F#m Just to get my voice back B I guess everybody has their own thing B F#m That they yell into a well B I gave it a coupla hoots B A hello F#m And a f**k all y'all B I guess everybody has their own thing B F#m That they yell into a well F#m And as I stood like that F#m B Staring into the black black black B I felt a cool wet kiss F#m On the back of my neck F#m Dang B I knew if I stood up B The drip would roll down my back B F# Into no man's land F#m So I stayed like that F#m Staring into the black black black F#m Well they say black is all colours at once F#m So I gave it my red rage my yellow streak F#m The greenest parts of me B F#m And my blues I knew just what I had to do F#m I had to turn around and go back F#m And let that drip roll down my back B F#m And I felt so bad about that B But wouldn't you know B When I turned to go B Another drip was forming B On the bottom of the bucket B F#m And I felt so good about that F#m
