Someday

A Someday when my last line is written, D E someday when I draw my last breath, E A when my last words on earth have been spoken, D A E and my lips are sealed in death, E A don't look on my cold form in pity, D A E don't think of me as one dead, E D it'll just be the house I once lived in, D E A my spirit by then will have fled. A I'll have finished my time here allotted, D A E but I won't be in darkness alone, E A I will have heard from heaven, D A E the summons to come on home, E A and when my body is in the grave, D A E don't think that I'll be there, E D I won't be dead but living, D E A in the place Jesus went to prepare. A And after all is said and done, D A E know that my last earnest prayer, E D is that my loved ones be ready D E A someday to meet me there.
