D G D Bm D One holy name she blesses, D Bm D Em Partakes one holy food, D G D A And to one hope she presses, D G A A7 D With every grace endued. D G D A Though with a scornful wonder, G A A7 D Men see her sore oppressed, A D Bm A G Though foes would rent asunder, D G D A The Rock where she doth rest, D G D Bm D Yet saints their faith are keeping; D Bm D Em Their cry goes up: “How long?” D G D A And soon the night of weeping D G A A7 D Shall be the morn of song. D G D A ‘Mid toil and tribulation, D G A A7 D And tumult of her war, A D Bm A G She waits the consummation D G D A Of peace, forevermore; D G D Bm D Till with the vision glorious, D Bm D Em Her longing eyes are blest, D G D A And the great church victorious, D G A A7 D Shall be the church at rest.
