Walk The Landings

D A E A X 2 D A E A I live in the quarters they call it skid row D A E A We all share the kitchen, one room is my home D A D A This uniforms pride is worn out like my own D A E A Still I use it to hide in, 8 hours til' home E A And I think about, how it could have been better. E A I can see children, a family togeather. D A But now all I know, is an endless tomorrow. E D A So I reach for the bottle in a room I call home. D A E A I carry my key watching over the yard D A E A Some do it easy and some do it hard. D A D A Once I was certain, but now I can see. D A E A There's not a whole lot of difference between them and me. D A Some nights I fear E I'll be walking the landings In the life after here.
