C F C F C Crawling down the highway same way I've always gone F Same cars, same people like ants marching along C every now and then somebody ventures off F for that mountain that rises up aloft C I think for a moment put on my signal light F speed down the ramp to where my dream takes flight C I look at the drivers still marching down the road F get a thumbs up, high five, Right on as I go C Off road but not off track F Off on my own but I'm not looking back C Out to find where I'm meant to be F Don't know what's next but I know I am free C F Off road C F Off road C And I don't even know how I'll go up this dirt road F My itty bitty car on the rocks how will I bode C I grit my teeth and focus on the path F I know soon enough in the sunlight I will bask C And I plow my way through gravel and the snow F Carving a path nobody would have known C I reach the top my head above the clouds F I throw up my hands and scream out loud C Off road but not off track F Off on my own but I'm not looking back C Out to find where I'm meant to be F Don't know what's next but I know I am free C F Off road C F Off road C The cars down on the freeway look like ants they emulate F As I look at the path that just became my fate C I change my view to look upon ahead F I see more peaks that no one has yet tread C I think for a moment again should I go on F I reach for the courage I need to call upon C I head down the mountain right down the backside F As another one rises in front I've gone C Off road but not off track F Off on my own but I'm not looking back C Out to find where I'm meant to be F Don't know what's next but I know I am free C F Off road C F Off road
