D A D Bm G D A D In the North Pole Bm G On the street where Santa lived D A D There was a stray cat named Kelsey G A D Who could play the violin D A D And after each day of work Bm G When Santa and Mrs. Claus went to bed D A D They would hear the beautiful music G A D That was going through their heads C G Kelsey would play "Jingle Bells" F G And "Silent Night" and "What Child is This?" C G And "O Holy Night", "The Drummer Boy" F G C They were in a musical bliss D A D And when Santa would go outside Bm G To see where this music came from D A D Kelsey would stop and hide G A D ‘Cause she was a modest one C G Then on Christmas Eve F G When Santa was packed and ready to go C G Kelsey climbed on the back of the sled F G C With her violin and bow D A D As the sled went up in the sky Bm G And Kelsey looked down below D A D She realized she was scared G A D And let out a frightful, “Meow” C G And Santa said, “Who’s on board?” F G And was shocked at what he saw C G On the back of the sled was a shivering cat F G C With her violin and bow C G Santa said, “Thank Heavens!” F G In that warm voice he had spoken C G “Would you play some songs tonight F G C Because my radio is broken?” D A D So Kelsey said, “My name is Kelsey Bm G It would be an honor Mr. Claus D A D But could I please borrow a seat belt G A D Because I’m holding on with all four paws” D A D Then Kelsey began to play Bm G The most wonderful selections D A D And each time Santa climbed down a chimney G A D She would continue to play with such affection Verse 11 D A D And for that Christmas Eve Bm G While the children were dreaming D A D Music filled the air G A D And on their faces smiles were beaming Verse 12 C G So after a long night of work F G Santa said, “Thank you, Kelsey C G C Your playing was wonderful F G C And don’t worry, everyone feels queasy” Verse 13 C G C “But please come inside Am F And meet Mrs. Claus C G C You can have coffee by the fireplace F G C And warm up those paws” Verse 14 C G So if next Christmas Eve Am F You dream of music you’ll know C G C That Kelsey was riding with Santa again F G C With her violin and bow
