E Am But they're still making money make money Am E As they slice up the future for sale A A And some numbskull's still hugging his bonus A E he ol' grabber's made off with the loot D D And the slick city traders, the corporate raiders D D Freebooters and fraudsters, hedge-fund speculators D D The stock-market scammers, the brain-dead regulators A E Why aren't they all getting the boot? Am Am See how the bubbles are bursting Am G All that's solid melts into air E Am The stairs are beginning to rattle Am E And the rats are beginning to stare A A There are cracks in the walls and the ceiling A E And smoke's pouring out the front door.
