Forevers Here To Stay

C F She stepped out of the Taxi, with a suitcase C in her hand. And a hand bag to full for her to G7 C F hold. I felt her body tremble as I took C G7 her in my arms. And she whispered, don't C ever let me go. F The I watched her hang her dresses up and C F close the closet door. And I watched her put C G7 C her satin things away. Some how now I know F C she won't be leaving anymore. I do believe G7 C forever's here to stay. C F It's good to hear her foot steps just walking C down the hall. Lord, I wondered would I hear those G7 C sounds again. We're picking up the pieces, and F C putting away the past. We've got a lot of G7 C broken dreams to mend.
