A I dreamt a beast rose up from the sea D With many heads and horns it was wreathed Dm A Ten thousand lies still trapped in its teeth Bm E Decomposed bloody clothes and resounding screams F#m E A Then I beheld a great eagle alight D On a mountain aloft on a storm in the night Dm A Lighting would strike as its wings would expand Bm E And back-lit the silhouette of a crucified man F Again and again Cm Again F Oo-oh Cm Oo-oh D# At last the thunder rolled over my ears G# In electrified clouds it began to appear Fm D# A fiery shape filled the sky in a flash Fm A# A phoenix aglow in the smoldering ash F C And the beast that came out of the deep E A Fell asleep and slipped into the sea
